[–] AceDuce23@alien.top 1 points 10 months ago

Just put some clear tape on the back and you'll be fine

[–] CREMICHIGAN@alien.top 1 points 10 months ago

Wow!! I don’t think I’ve ever seen that bad of a break!!!

[–] chichikabour@alien.top 1 points 10 months ago

Just stick a @dbrand skin on it and you'll be fine, just make sure that you don't buy anything from @casetify

[–] Kitty_Fruit_2520@alien.top 1 points 10 months ago

I would go get it either fixed or replaced

I’ve used phone without back glass before, best advice is to put a case on to avoid glass shards

[–] Ok_Marsupial6435@alien.top 1 points 10 months ago (16 children)

Seems like it needed one of those all along

Put clear tape on it before the case to keep the glass cracks from running more.

[–] Hype_77@alien.top 1 points 10 months ago (1 children)

It is safe as long as you put a case on to prevent the glass shards from piercing your hands. However, it is advisable to get the back glass replaced, especially because there are people who use a laser to remove the glass and put a new one on for cheaper than normal

Throw it in a case

[–] JasonDetwiler@alien.top 1 points 10 months ago

My wife’s 8+ was like that for a couple of years.

[–] IanCasas@alien.top 1 points 10 months ago (4 children)

Did you throw your phone out of a plane?

Slap a dbrand skin on it 😎

[–] TrevorAlan@alien.top 1 points 10 months ago

Drag your fingers over it, see what happens.

[–] 2050_Bobcat@alien.top 1 points 10 months ago

🤔Really? What's the front like? Would get it changed as soon as you can but like others have said, should be safe enough if you put it in a case

[–] SINY10306@alien.top 1 points 10 months ago

Put some electrical tape on it, use a case, and most importantly don’t ~~feed it after midnight~~ charge it wirelessly.

[–] Impressive-Trainer88@alien.top 1 points 10 months ago

Use your AppleCare and get it fixed/replaced.

[–] Goldvenom6@alien.top 1 points 10 months ago

Slap a skin on the back and shove that shit in a case and call it a day

[–] Competitive_Pool_820@alien.top 1 points 10 months ago

Get the back replaced. I could never live with it. Risk of cuts etc. short term just put a case on to keep it enclosed

[–] LOKl31@alien.top 1 points 10 months ago

Duckt tape and there you go

[–] xmhfz@alien.top 1 points 10 months ago

yeah put on a cover and make sure to not take extra care of your phone during rainy days

[–] Robones96@alien.top 1 points 10 months ago

Another “i am too cool for a case” result

[–] Second_Rogoue@alien.top 1 points 10 months ago

A friend of mine used to work at a repair shop. He told me that if the phone is used with a cracked back glass, small pieces of glass penetrate the battery, causing the battery to swell up. Same thing happens when the back glass is replaced sloppily.

[–] cann357@alien.top 1 points 10 months ago

With a case it's

[–] Nedumov_al@alien.top 1 points 10 months ago (3 children)

I don't understand how you can buy such an expensive device and not spend a couple of dollars on a case for it. It could save you time and money.

[–] SomeNumber_idk@alien.top 1 points 10 months ago

Well boohoo

Just throw a car on it. Should be fine. Although you could always take it to a repair place tog eat a second opinion.

[–] TaleYouToBrazil@alien.top 1 points 10 months ago

Looks good as new

[–] Luizagrg@alien.top 1 points 10 months ago

Looks intact to me

[–] kylebloom@alien.top 1 points 10 months ago

Hell no. Get that back glass replaced please

[–] smaad@alien.top 1 points 10 months ago

Put a case shattered glass can be dangerous

[–] DOM_TAN@alien.top 1 points 10 months ago
[–] WebProject@alien.top 1 points 10 months ago

It’s still in perfect condition and new design as you have managed to modify it! So leave it as is 😂

[–] j_melodic78@alien.top 1 points 10 months ago

Let it sit in rice for a little while. It should be good to go afterwards.

[–] JapanSinking@alien.top 1 points 10 months ago

Hell nah under the wireless charging coil the brown thing is battery if something sharp aka the glass pokes it,something called 💥💥💥 will happen so no

[–] lucasuperman@alien.top 1 points 10 months ago

If you like tiny pieces of glass under your skin, this if perfect!

[–] snowboardjoe@alien.top 1 points 10 months ago

depends on use case.

  • normal/careful usage inside a decent case? -> sure
  • underwater -> big no no
  • ingestion/insertion? -> not recommended
[–] 101Pixels@alien.top 1 points 10 months ago

Average iphone user xD Just fix it

[–] Taco_2020_@alien.top 1 points 10 months ago
[–] poop_on_balls@alien.top 1 points 10 months ago

Lol bro at least put it in a case so you don’t cut yourself.

Glass is no joke, if you get a glass sliver they can stay in your body because they can be sterile.
