I want to use the apple watch purely for Siri setting timers, reminders, and appointments. I care zero about activity tracking or other features, maybe to control my podcasts. I usually opt for the pro version / top end version of everything to future proof as I hold onto my devices for 5 years, but is the SE good enough for my use case? Looking for opinions from SE owners.

I have a SE and had for 18 months. It works perfectly fine for me. And from what you want it for, would be fine.

I have a first generation SE and have been happy with it. I do use it for activity tracking as well as timers, reminders and controlling Spotify in the car.

I’m in the same boat. Thinking either S9 or the new SE. I will just be using the normal features of the watch.
