Hey.

Wondering if anyone knows of/is experiencing this issue.

When using my Apple TV to a Sonos beam soundbar, watching movies, there’s a slight audio delay. Tested with playing stuff direct from the tv, no audio delay. Tested playing Apple TV with TV built in speakers - delay exists.

On the Apple TV, the delay goes away in YouTube. Then when I leave youtube, there’s no sound delay navigating the Home Screen. As soon as I open the Apple TV app or another app (tried Plex, Disney+) the audio delay comes back. If I go back to the main menu, it stays when navigating the Home Screen as well. it only goes away when I open YouTube back up. Which makes me believe it’s an issue with the Apple TV. I’m trying to reset it now, but short of that, does anyone know a fix?

Try disabling Atmos in the settings.

Try turning game mode on your tv

I had this problem too and saw a post about low speed HDMI cables being the culprit. Sure enough, I replaced the HDMI cable with a better quality 4K rated cable and that fixed it.

Update, used a high speed hdmi cable, not fixed.

My Sonos has an audio delay setting that defaults pretty high. Have you looked at that setting?

Where is this setting? I have the audio lip sync delay or whatever set to 0
