I am a substitute teacher, and travel around to different schools. Last week, I worked at a school and connected to an Epson projector via Apple TV (Airplay) and screen mirroring.

Yesterday I got a message from the teacher I subbed for - she said that her projector was showing my screen and it was "moving around." I asked her to send me a photo, and the projector was showing my iPad screen from the previous day. The fact that it was "moving around" sounded like it was showing a screen recording of my activity on my iPad after I had turned the projector off.

She said she restarted the system but it is still showing my screen. Any thoughts would be much appreciated! I can't understand why it screen recorded me in the first place! And why restarting is not helping. Does she need to do a complete reset?

How do you know it’s your screen and not someone at the school now?

This sounds like a projector thing, rather than a n Apple TV thing. I, at least, have never heard of this feature.

Apple TV doesn’t record. Something else is going on here.

Sounds like that teacher should be asking it to fix the projector rather than bugging you

She did! I am just trying to figure out what happened so I don't do it again...
