Clean your lens and lower your exposure when shooting

If you have one of those camera lens protector things, take it off

Awesome comment. That's what I see every night lol

[–] FoxTrotMik3Lim4@alien.top 1 points 1 year ago

Never knew that that’s why i saw lines from street lights, I assumed everyone did. I knew I had astigmatisms but didn’t know the two were related

I'm pretty sure imaging sensors don't just degrade over time, much less over just 2 years. Looks to me like you have too much oily crap on your lens. Clean it.

[–] Ir0nic@alien.top 1 points 1 year ago

Clean your fucking camera fgs

[–] firestar268@alien.top 1 points 1 year ago

Wipe your lens

[–] Kmkz47@alien.top 1 points 1 year ago

Clean the lens and learn how to use the equipment. If you buy a 1000+ phone the least you can do is learn how to properly use it. Otherwise just stick to disposable cams.

[–] smokey9413@alien.top 1 points 1 year ago

That’s what mine looks like if there’s lots of fingerprint smudges on the lenses, I just wipe it off and the lines go away

Your iPhone needs a visit to the optician to get new glasses

Try to clean the lens

[–] SirFeatherstone@alien.top 1 points 1 year ago

Just looks like your lens needs cleaned tbh...

[–] AZREDFERN@alien.top 1 points 1 year ago

Your lens has finger grease on it. Wiping it with your shirt might be good enough in daylight, but you need alcohol to get it off at night. The lenses and screen start out with an oleophobic coating that wears off in a year or less. Always use a screen protector and lens protector. Because you can replace those when they wear.

Or just add a subtle smear of nose grease if you want your photo to look like this.

I don't own an iPhone, but your best bet would be to clean your lens using a microfiber cloth. Open the camera app, point it towards street light (at least 2 sources of light), and then wipe the camera lens from a single direction. Now you will see the lines change direction, do this multiple times until the lines become faint. Dont randomly rub your camera lens, do it gently from one direction to other. Sometimes, if it is too dirty (or greasy), use a drop of water and then rub it and then use a dry microbifer and gently wipe it.

iphone camera lenses are made of crystal sapphire. they are incredibly scratch resistant and very hard to scratch. u can use your cotton tshirt and wipe it with whatever. little bit of water and a tshirt or non lint like anything will do just fine. the lens is a 9 on the mohs hardness scale.

A quick visit to the Genius Bar and they’ll have you sorted.

[–] anamazingredditor@alien.top 1 points 1 year ago

[–] MrExpecto@alien.top 1 points 1 year ago

Wipe your lenses first then try again.

[–] Bengal-D84@alien.top 1 points 1 year ago

Wipe the lens w a microfiber.

[–] Rioma117@alien.top 1 points 1 year ago

Lens flare, it happens if the lens is not perfectly clear but honestly those crosses look nice, there’s filters to get them for professional cameras.

[–] AStopidChimp@alien.top 1 points 1 year ago

It looks like your iPhone may have recently gotten lasik eye surgery. It hopefully will heal on its own in 6ish months!

[–] Baz4k@alien.top 1 points 1 year ago

I see like this normally, is this not normal?

[–] Next-Solid1753@alien.top 1 points 1 year ago

[–] lonesurvivor112@alien.top 1 points 1 year ago

[–] ptd9999@alien.top 1 points 1 year ago

[–] nonstick_banjo1629@alien.top 1 points 1 year ago

Wait, what’s wrong with this?

[–] melancholy_dood@alien.top 1 points 1 year ago

Dirty lens?

[–] itzeppelinnn@alien.top 1 points 1 year ago

i have a 14 and the camera is awful. Close pictures are blurry and refuse to adjust, so i cant zoom on my camera. i've tried cleaning mine too but nothing changes so i don't use it much.

[–] futurafrlx@alien.top 1 points 1 year ago (1 children)

I remember reading on DxOMark that iPhone was notorious for having more noticeable lens flare than Samsung.

[–] tubezninja@alien.top 1 points 1 year ago

That’s not lens flare.

[–] kejok@alien.top 1 points 1 year ago

I would suggest you wipe clean your camera before taking photos. Most of my friends saying “my iPhone photos looks so baaaad” while there’s smudges on the camera glass

[–] plzleavemealonelol@alien.top 1 points 1 year ago

doesn't clean lens. blames apple.

[–] Oops_its_me_rae@alien.top 1 points 1 year ago (1 children)
