I am looking to purchase an older used Apple Watch. I am only really interested in the zones feature. Would anyone know how old I can go and still have access to this feature? When I reached out to Apple support they said only series 8 and the ultra have it which maybe that’s correct but seems crazy.

I do see them as well but it depends of the type of workout? I have a série 7, can see them when I do HIIT but not weight lifting

If anyone has an first gen SE or like a Series 3 that is able to use this feature (or for sure can’t) that would be tremendously helpful

Can confirm it works on my series 7. Also, it works for any workout type, just needs to be enabled. See my other comments in this thread to see how to enable it for any workout type, including strength training.

My series 6 has it, though it depends on the workout. Usually cardio has this option.

Ok I found more info so if anyone is interested the Zones update was part of OS10 for the watch and it looks like series 4 is oldest of the regular watches that can run it and all SEs can run it. Thank you everyone for your help!
