I do some graphic design work in Illustrator, Photoshop, and InDesign. Between the M2 Pro and the M3 Pro, would I notice much of a difference? Or would a MacBook Air M2 with similar specs suit me ok?

I use a 2019 i9 at work with 32 GB of RAM. But I am not going to be pushing my personal machine as hard. At home I use an ancient 2009 MacBook with 8 GB RAM, so anything will be an upgrade.

Any thoughts are appreciated. Thanks

Probably the M3. Good deal on the M2 though and there’s not too much of a change. However future proof yourself with the M3 (3nm process so apple should support it longer) and you have more GPU power. I’m still running my M1 MacBook Pro and it’s flying still!

The M3 has a slightly brighter display, much faster CPU, and debatably slower GPU depending on what tasks you are doing and whether the app has been optimized for the new architecture.

Aside from that, not much different.

I think it also has faster SSD speeds because there was a whole stir about that on M2 Pro
