I know there are services like Delete Me, but I'm curious if it's even worth it at all or if it's just an easy way for a company to make some quick bucks. Anyone use these services before?

I've used EasyOptOuts for a few years. The only one I can recommend. They do the work and are cheap.

If you're resident in the EU, check out My Data Done Right

I'm using one for myself and one for my grandpa (who gets tons of landline spam calls).

I haven't noticed a lot that's different for either of us. I think the real reason to use one of these sites is if you want your contact information to be a bit harder to find.

I've been using Delete Me for over a year. They've been able to remove almost all my information from people search websites. When I find my information on a people search website that isn't included in the list of sites they support I can make a request for it to be included in the next round of opt out requests.
