i wish i held off... maybe give it until 10.2. there's not exactly anything that you're missing out on as far as features anyway

It's fine. Been using it since beta.

People are just whiney. Also the swiping between faces crying has been heard and is reverted in the current beta so it should be out in public soon.

And don't skip updates because people are crying. Thats just about the stupidest thing you could do.

I don’t notice much of a difference. SE1

no. i hated how easy it was to accidentally swipe to change faces. i dont use the new widgets often. battery life hasnt changed since pre 10 update. Ultra 1.

No issues with it.

hey guys, not very much into the topic, but what do you guys think about the SE2? Thinking about getting one this month, currently own a garmin but wanting more integration

Much prefer 10 app launcher and button function. So far knock on wood no battery bug.

I know there are a lot of people that don't like it, but for me it's great.

  • The widgets are perfect. I can have a simple watch face now and easily get to other things I need by just scrolling the crown - No more trying to cram as many complications as possible on the modular face.
  • I hated always accidentally switching my watch face by swiping, so the fact that they got rid of swipe to change face is my favorite feature
  • Battery life in my S7 is... the same? Haven't noticed any difference, still charge it for 100% before I go to bed, wear it all night and all day then charge it again to 100% before bed - It usually has around 20% left after 24 hours.

I know some people have had a hard time with the changes and some problems with battery life but for me its been smooth and I enjoy all of these changes.

I've had no issues with it... I think it's just those that don't like/or have had an issue are vocal about it. Those that do like it and have had no issues with it just carry on with their day. I suspect its a very small % of users that have had an issue with it.

Yes update. SE2 will run great on 10

It depends. Personally I prefer watchOS 9, because I think the Smart Stack could have just been a new watch face instead of moving literally every control to put it where control center was. I would like it if they brought an update to make face swipe a toggle because I like to swipe between faces multiple times a day, and I do prefer the black minimalistic look of the apps prior to the update.

All that said I have gotten used to everything, except the useless Smart Stack; but that is user preference.

The latest update just added face swipe as an option.

Is it only with the 10.2 beta?

[–] vividri-volkov@alien.top 1 points 10 months ago

It was different at first but I can’t remember how 9 was after using it for a week. It works great.

OS 10 is awesome. It’s made my watch experience much better.

[–] MrsBenSolo1977@alien.top 1 points 10 months ago

It’s much better in my opinion, just a few people with big mouths who don’t like change.

[–] trtsmb@alien.top 1 points 10 months ago

I think it's fine.

[–] eggsaladsandwichism@alien.top 1 points 10 months ago

Yes, it’s that bad. I wish I could roll back to 9. Even with the “fixes” my battery drain is wild, on top of the terrible button mapping changes

[–] Signal-Huckleberry50@alien.top 1 points 10 months ago

I think so…so far 10 has been pretty solid for me. My battery improved from what it was on all of watchOS 9. The new button system isn’t the greatest as I liked the old app switcher and being able to swipe up for the control center. I don’t see a ton of use in the scroll up widgets with complications already too. But I’m adapting to those parts now.

It's not bad at all. Gives the OS a much needed cleaner look and functionality.
