Of course! We used this recipe https://www.turtlefiji.com/fresh-fijian-kokoda/

We had to use tuna because it was one of the only sushi grade fish we could find where we live.

Coconut bowls often end up leaking, so you do need a plate eventually. But they add a nice visual flavor, and if you finish dinner before everyone else, you can start nibbling at your bowl.
