Ugh... Mental note, check for track work before going out for a weekend. Came to the city for a weekend stay to see a few live music shows.. trackwork. Boo. Raining. Double boo. Buses in the rain with luggage. Physical challenge.

Any recommendations for a beginner 3d printer? I'm not a tinkerer so I don't want to have to eff around with leveling etc. Budget.. well, under $600 I suppose. I see there are some sales on..

TIA

Where do people buy their furniture that's not Ikea? My partner and I are fortunate enough to finally be able to purchase a home, and we're now thinking about how much we want to budget for furniture, but we realised that we don't even know where to buy them from.

It might pay to check out gumtree or similar. I've had some 'excess furniture' situations. Some quality stuff, but didn't fit with me. Sent it to a good home on gumtree. After ignoring all the scammers/scummy people lol

I had a bad experience trying to buy on gumtree years ago and avoided it since. But I’ll take another look and hopefully be luckier haha

I've had bad experiences as both a buyer and a seller. Also got stuff that would have cost thousands more. Knowing what you want, how much it's worth and having the time to wait for it to come to you is the greatest savings ever.

What are you after in particular?

Currently at least a couple bed frames+ mattresses, a sofa, dining table + chairs, and possibly a wardrobe
