If its not completely dead i would use it to selfhost some fun projects (maybe lemmy?) https://github.com/awesome-selfhosted/awesome-selfhosted

It belongs to where my father works so I can't do that unfortunately. At least it looks like they will be replacing the battery so it won't become e-waste.

However I do have another laptop collecting dust, most of the home server stuff is already done by my Rpi4, but maybe I can find something to use it for? Either way ty for the link :3

Actually yes it is! He used it as a laptop in practice though so I kinda forgot it was.
