I just want CS1 to work without all the mods. It’s a great game but vanilla just doesn’t cut it. When I go a few months without playing I end up spending two hours figuring out which mods don’t work anymore. By the time I think I have the right set of mods, I don’t even want to play it anymore /:

IDK, I don't use any mods and have a handful of DLC and I think the game is quite fun. My main complaint is that traffic AI sucks, so I was hoping C:S2 would fix that and work comparably on my machine, but the performance seems to be too poor to bother with.

There's an external mod manager that I forgot the name of. They have mod packs that are Semi-Updated.

Might not be a deal breaker for them cuz they've got machines that can power through it. It's a deal breaker for me though.

Not a deal breaker for me. Runs perfectly fine, except for an occasional hitch when zooming.
