Democratic state Rep. Stephanie Stahl Hamilton, who is a minister, was investigated after hiding Bibles in the Arizona House lounge. Republicans narrowly voted to censure – but could not expel – her.

So, to be clear... she's a Presbyterian minister. keep that firmly in mind.
She was moving the bible around inside the lounge for the state's house of representatives. Bibles that were left in similar manner to bibles left in hotel rooms. No other religious texts are left in the lounge, in that manner.

her 'pranks' were mostly moving the bible around and hiding it in places- under seat cushions, in the fridge, once, and mostly meant to quietly (and somewhat humorously) protest the lack of separation between church and state in the Arizona house.

Yeah, i think this goes to show just how far into the territory of "religious zealot" the mainstream republican party has gone.

It would be nice to actually have representatives that don’t have imaginary magical friends.

Or at least it would be nice to be able to have representatives that can openly admit that ‘no’ they don’t really believe in such rubbish, and not suffer for it.
