First one: oooh treats

Second one: I have chosen to murder you all

These are our two cats:

The first one is the most chill and lovely being on this world (as long as he can’t eat you). He immediately starts purring when he leaves his box and loves the rubs. The vets always want to keep him.

The other one morphs into hulk and tries to destroy everything 😂😂😂

The difference, you see, is brain cells. The subject on the left has none, as I'm sure your vet has already made your aware of.

Our orange boy is the spicy one at the vet :(

Ask your vet is they are Fear-Free Certified. Vet visits are stressful for cats and Fear-Free training can help vets and vet techs interact with your cat in ways to lower their stress (ie picture on the right).

They are the same vets on both pictures. Clearly not all cats are easily handled, even when doing everything right, especially if they need multiple tests that can't be contained to a very short period.

My poor recently passed old girl was like that. She might be good for about 15m if they knew how to keep her distracted. But after that, it was a war every time.

The cats are even in the same room at the same time. Only vet I’ve ever had that does that, but it has seemed to help calm the cats comparatively to being alone.

Maybe this is a Europe thing, but a vet learns in school how to handle animals and doesn't need a 300 bucks subscription model "certificate". It appears to me to be yet another way to fearmonger customers.

You cannot lower the stress of my younger cat. It is absolutely impossible. Something is wrong with him, he is scared of literally everyone other than two people. I'm not even one of the people despite living with him for 13 years now. He, at best, tolerates me being in the same room, but if I approach him, he will bolt. Something in his brain just has him in fight mode all the time.

This certification sounds pretty sus to me. Knowing how to handle animals is something a vet learns in veterinary school.

The vet is great. She’s a cat only vet and handles the cats really well. The picture was the most unflattering moment, for comedy reasons. Tuxedo boy makes a lot of noises and faces but doesn’t actually do anything. As soon as he is let go he struts around the vet office.

Also, just fuck with your cats a lot. We bother all 7 of ours all the time, and the vet usually remarks on how well behaved they are.
