I'll be travelling from Texas to Istanbul to get a hair transplant and will be back home 4 days later. I packed the travelling so tight because I didn't have the PTO to spend. Does anyone have tips on how to survive this feat? I'm very nervous.

When you say "survive this feat," do you mean avoid jet leg?

Whenever I travel, I treat the day I am traveling as the time zone I will be in because it will force my body to readjust to the difference before I have to confront it head on - similarly to when I have to wake up a few hours earlier than normal, I tend to sleep earlier the night prior.

Istanbul is an 8 hour difference from Texas. If I am expecting my flight to arrive in Istanbul around 5pm and the flight is 12 hours long, I would treat the entire flight as if it took off at 5am (I would take a nap for the first few hours and stay up the remainder of the trip), and vice versa for the way back.

The toughest part is being able to adhere to the plan during the flight, but it is the easiest way for me to avoid jet lag. Good luck!
