I am sick of everything having a wall-wart transformer, especially where the size or shape prevents other things from being plugged into the adjacent sockets.

Powersquids are a life saver. I try to make sure I always have a couple in reserve in case I need one.
I didn't think you could get those here in the UK, but it looks like you can! https://www.philips.co.uk/c-p/SPR5500_05/powersquid-5-outlets
My only gripe is that they look a bit messy... I am a neat freak when it comes to cabling.
Wireless is super convenient but I hate all the micromanaging that needs to be done with batteries. Lithium batteries has made this generally better but there's still a lot of subtle ways that batteries like to change when you aren't looking. It's fine when you only have 1-3 batteries to deal with but it gets tedious quick as you end up with more and more batteries.
That's why I prefer wired headphones and my Pebble smartwatch. Wired headphones always work! Okay, yeah, my watch does need to be plugged in just like any other smartwatch, but only every few days. It's a shame the company went bankrupt and was bought out by Fitbit, which was later bought out by Google.
I disagree with wired headphones always working. I bought a pair of wireless earbuds just over a year ago. They still work great and I use them daily. In the same time multiple people I know have gone through multiple pairs of wired headphones. Additionally with more phones removing the headphone jack a lot of people have to use adapters for their headphones and cannot charge while listening to music.
By "always work" I was referring to them not needing to be charged. I don't know how many times I've pulled out a pair of wireless headphones that I haven't used in a while, only to discover that they're dead. With wired headphones, you plug them in and they work. That's it. No fuss, no muss. Plus, if you're using them with your phone and your laptop, you don't have to worry that your headphones might still be connected to your other device.
Agreed. I have increasing memory issues and having to constantly juggle charging devices and keeping track of which ones need to go onto a cord is a never ending struggle for me.
I really wish you could power your phone from the charger if you are stationary. I play a number of games (OSRS, Mindusty, Endless Sky) that drain my battery so quickly. This leads to a significantly increased number of charging cycles that could be avoided if I could just set a toggle to power the phone from the cable rather than the battery.
