Is anybody here that witnessed the original migration from Digg to Reddit? How did it feel? Does it feel the same right now?

@palex00 What’s going on now does not feel like the digg—>reddit migration. Kbin has no seasoned/expert users. Reddit had people who were using the site for years when digg imploded.

@palex00 - and also the Digg collapse felt a lot faster. Basically they set things up so large content providers could automatically pump stuff onto the from page without the need for upvotes, and it died almost within a week. As Somas said though - Reddit provided a ready-made lifeboat, whereas we are more hammering one together around us as we bob in the water :)
