The site: https://lemmyverse.net/communities

To see kbin "magazines" (that's how subreddits/communities are called on kbin) you have to switch to displaying them in top right corner:

Or you can just open this link: https://lemmyverse.net/kbin/magazines?order=followers

And to go back to displaying lemmy communities you have to press on "communities" in the middle on the top of the site:

Upvote, boosted, and copied the link over to another post where someone was asking for such a thing for Kbin. Nice.

Don't forget to mention them this if they are from kbin:

Yes, even now I can get "lost" on exactly where I saw something, and I've noticed that trying to repost an "original" link to the source isn't always that easy to do, since I'm probably seeing the Kbin copy. I don't know what the correct etiquette is, or is it even matters as any comment they make on one should eventually get back to the other...probably.

The big flag is when you click on a link, such as from this listing, and find yourself on a page where you aren't signed in and it looks different. I'm not sure how that could be made more seamless without really over-complicating the whole thing.

You may want to keep an eye on this issue: https://github.com/LemmyNet/lemmy-ui/issues/1048

I don't know how exactly would that work and I don't think that all links will be fixed (I didn't look to deep into that) but at least they are working on fixing the issue.

Edit: oh, you are on kbin, then idk how would that work, the fediverse is a bit complicated xD

I've read and discussed the situation of some cross-instance permanence in a few places. Part of being at the front of a new thing, right?

And I don't complain, it's fun to experience and learn new things.

speaking of finding communities, have there been an app or website or something that takes your old subscribed subreddits and give you a list of lemmy/kbin/fediverse communities? (maybe it shows top 2/3 communities per subreddit).

https://sub.rehab/ (I requested them to add my singularity sub but they didn't add it so there's for sure many other alternative subs that are not on the list but are active)

I know the wefwef webapp supports importing the Apollo appโ€™s exported .JSON and uses one of these services to suggest communities.
