I was wondering about the future of Lemmy and content that is hosted here. As I understand, Lemmy support for videos is limited as of right now. Why not use Peertube to host the videos people upload on Lemmy?

Both Lemmy and Peertube use ActivityPub and by having Lemmy content on Peertube we would have an actual competitor to youtube

Fyi I do not know the inner workings of peer tube but if it's anything like lemmy. Then poor instance owner.
