Hey, thanks for the tip. If I click on one of the links, and go to, for example:
https://kbin.social/m/aiapps@lemmy.intai.tech
But it says "404 Not Found" what does that mean? Is it just lag, or are we defederated from them, or ...?

Yeah, I'm getting the same thing on some other communities.
That's a newly minted issue, check this thread: Federation with some lemmy instances is 404'ing
Thanks for the info, @frasassi! It's fascinating to see this develop, wish I had more dev ops skills to contribute!
But sopuli.xyz is on 0.18 and some communities there work and some don't. There has to be something more
I get the same from anything but kbin.social communities, including lemmy.world, so I don’t think it’s a lack federation.
Some random items will work, and some instances seem to work better than others. I have a pretty good track record from communities on sopuli.xyz and I've managed to subscribe to a few from lemmy.world but it is probably just chance. I haven't been able to get a single community from sh.itjust.works to load despite seeing their users all over the place, federation is obviously working at least somewhat.
Yeah, arkisuomi on sopuli.xyz hasn't worked, but Suomi and a few others have. kbin.social/m/arkisuomi/@sopuli.xyz results in 404. I guess it hasn't been pushed to kbin for some reason. And I obviously can't subscribe
Brilliant, thank you very much. That makes finding and subscribing to new communities so easy :-)
