I also posted this in c/music.

I‘m looking for some eerie background music while playing Arkham Horror.

I imagine it to be sad, slow, creepy, eerie. I‘d prefer no singing. Maybe a small trio, bass, piano, drums?

Although I‘m playing a horror game, the music shouldn‘t distract me by sudden loud sounds, or disturbing noises, effects or sth like that.

Do you know albums/playlists on Apple Music that offer this kind of experience?

Thanks a lot!

I would suggest you Erich Zann, but sadly his discography is quite difficult to find online 😆.

Check out Cryo Chamber. They have several albums named after the great old ones.

My favorite so far is a dark jazz trio called Bohren & der club of gore. But this one takes the 2nd place! Awesome, thank you so much!

Bohren is great too, I just didn't associate it with lovecraftian music. Thanks for pointing out.

My groups for CoC and Arkham Horror use The Call of Cthulhu Sessions on Spotify. Nearly 4 hours of moody jazz. Perfect.

I listen to this playlist on Spotify when I read Lovecraft. Sorry it's not exactly what you're looking for, but I don't use Apple music.
