You can't fault someone for trying the app and if it works for their use-case, that doesn't make them dumb. Yes it's shitty for most of us, but for someone just casually browsing on the toilet and not commenting, maybe it works fine for them.

I use the Reddit Mobile app and I like it just fine. I didn’t like Apollo at all.
This is exactly the case for me, i was aware of boost and other third party alternatives but just didn't feel the need to get them because i didn't really care for the app having a seizure everytime a video or gif wants to play and the influx of ads.
Downloaded the app, say 4 ads in less than 30 seconds, so i deleted it. I have an adblocker on ffs
I'm just lurking so the web app works for my use-case
