So when I get "The profile from the federated server may be incomplete. Browse more on the original instance." is that just a temporary syncing issue that resolves itself after some time?

I see that message on the newly linked https://kbin.social/m/datenvisualisierung@feddit.de for example or on comments and posts on my other profile on lemmy.world.

I think that just gets displayed on any magazine/community that's on a different instance than your own. I see it on empty ones too.

It's a warning because content takes some time to be synched across instances, so kbin wants you to be aware that maybe not everything is shown. Or at least that's my assumption for the reason.

I did have trouble today replying between kbin and lemmy.world and vice versa. Not sure if it also applies to other instances

@JanoRis fediverse is sync forward. No historical content is transferred (unless manually searched for), hence the warning.
