All we need is the government to provide the stable conditions for massive investment to bring this to market..... oh, bollocks.
And there's the rub.
Whatever you think of Starmer it seems like he isn't a loose cannon and should be reliable enough to create policies that promote long-term growth through sensible policies that promote green technology which creates more jobs, cheaper bills for everyone and actually creates a country where we are making things again.
I seem to remember a young whipper snapper by the name of Gordon Brown day something similar back in the day.
He's not an idiot, he just got the top gig right at the tail end of Labour's run as the wheels were coming off. He does seem to have adopted an elder statesman role now, coming up with various sensible policies. I can't imagine he's lost sight of this.
Yeah his reforms on the Scottish question and the Union seem very sensible. Too sensible for any government to accept I fear. But we live in hope, eh?
