As a former RIF addict, I found "Summit for Lemmy" a decent alternative.
No Stupid Questions
No such thing. Ask away!
!nostupidquestions is a community dedicated to being helpful and answering each others' questions on various topics.
The rules for posting and commenting, besides the rules defined here for lemmy.world, are as follows:
Rules (interactive)
Rule 1- All posts must be legitimate questions. All post titles must include a question.
All posts must be legitimate questions, and all post titles must include a question. Questions that are joke or trolling questions, memes, song lyrics as title, etc. are not allowed here. See Rule 6 for all exceptions.
Rule 2- Your question subject cannot be illegal or NSFW material.
Your question subject cannot be illegal or NSFW material. You will be warned first, banned second.
Rule 3- Do not seek mental, medical and professional help here.
Do not seek mental, medical and professional help here. Breaking this rule will not get you or your post removed, but it will put you at risk, and possibly in danger.
Rule 4- No self promotion or upvote-farming of any kind.
That's it.
Rule 5- No baiting or sealioning or promoting an agenda.
Questions which, instead of being of an innocuous nature, are specifically intended (based on reports and in the opinion of our crack moderation team) to bait users into ideological wars on charged political topics will be removed and the authors warned - or banned - depending on severity.
Rule 6- Regarding META posts and joke questions.
Provided it is about the community itself, you may post non-question posts using the [META] tag on your post title.
On fridays, you are allowed to post meme and troll questions, on the condition that it's in text format only, and conforms with our other rules. These posts MUST include the [NSQ Friday] tag in their title.
If you post a serious question on friday and are looking only for legitimate answers, then please include the [Serious] tag on your post. Irrelevant replies will then be removed by moderators.
Rule 7- You can't intentionally annoy, mock, or harass other members.
If you intentionally annoy, mock, harass, or discriminate against any individual member, you will be removed.
Likewise, if you are a member, sympathiser or a resemblant of a movement that is known to largely hate, mock, discriminate against, and/or want to take lives of a group of people, and you were provably vocal about your hate, then you will be banned on sight.
Rule 8- All comments should try to stay relevant to their parent content.
Rule 9- Reposts from other platforms are not allowed.
Let everyone have their own content.
Rule 10- Majority of bots aren't allowed to participate here.

I'm also coming from RIF and have found Jerboa alright after adjusting the "look and feel" settings to the more compact options. Clicking into comments requiring being more careful with where you tap is my main complaint.
I used RIF for years, and kind of hope the developer makes a Lemmy port to be honest. I've not tried many android apps yet, but Jerboa For Lemmy is pretty good so far.
Seconded
Tried a few, Jerboa is sort of good but there are things you just have to figure out. Like I'm a user on my own Lemmy, and I can't find my own instances? Does the search only search ... well what actually? Also as I have my super user, another user, a user on beehaw etc (not very rational maybe) but you don't know whith witch obe you are browsing.
Guess it's just too, early so for now I'm sticking with Jerboa as it's the official app.
Everything is great though, I'm just pointing out small inconveniences.
I'm waiting for Sync for Lemmy. I was actually pretty well settled in Squabbles, but when I heard that the dev for Sync for Reddit was making a Lemmy app, I had to jump over here and give it a shot. His design was THAT good.
I assume Sync will be my go-to, but I'm going to give Artemis a try once it's released. Currently using Connect, I just really miss some key features like swiping and jumping to top comments.
The developer of Sync for Reddit is working on a Lemmy port, and hopes to have early access ready in a few more days.
Wefwef
Seconding wefwef on ios
How do you get it? Search returns nothing.
Sadly I hate that very hard forced generic iOS design. Makes the website/app look like it has no personality at all and looks low effort design-wise, because it reminds me of those 2005 websites who don't use styles at all and it just defaults to the browser/OS styles. I like when apps have personality and carefully designed UI and controls. We are losing creativity and personality in search of this "consistency" bs, in all OSs really, makes me sad.
I switched from RiF to Jerboa easily. The small card view and dark theme is pretty much the same as I used on RiF. I don't remember all the settings but you can customise some stuff. I did that in Rif too, so I'm not even sure what the default is in either app anymore.
There's been a lot of bugs and crashes lately but I hope it gets better with time, but appearance wise this is as good as RiF IMO.
I'm using Connect for Lemmy at the moment and I used RIF for 9 years.
Thunder and liftoff seem to be rapidly moving to the front of the pack.
Can Thunder post comments yet?
For context, I have tried Connect, Summit and Jerboa as well.
I'm a former RIF user. Honestly, I recommend just downloading as many as you can to see which one you like best. I did that, and I ended up liking Liftoff the most, but you may have liked RIF for different reasons than I did.
Jerboa in List View is almost the same as RiF as far as functionality for me.
It's pretty crashy right now, though.
