There's also pixelfed.scot, but you have to apply. So maybe it's only all of England, Wales and NI who are furry on pixelfed
I grew up in Scotland so maybe I'll go with the kilts and deep-fried Mars bars rather than the furry suits.

It's a lovely thought but, no, I just want to fit in.
I have been looking into setting up a pixelfed server, but I don't know if I could afford to run it at the moment.
Although it would be a bit more image heavy than here, the costs shouldn't be too high and donations could cover it.
Have chat with other Pixelfed Admins about the system requirements and we'd be happy to have a look round and see what the price might be.
Do tell us if you (or other Fedditors) set up any other UK Fediverse bits. You all seem like trustworthy sorts :)

We'll bolt on a few bits and bobs here but my larger plan is to reach out to those running British instances to form a Britiverse. If we're happy that they're well run (active Admins, more than one of them, and a funding plan), then we can recommend them to people in here looking for other services.
Little pockets of Britishness spread amongst the Fediverse, like a new, friendlier, British Empire :)
That's the ticket! But this time we don't steal everyone's stuff, we establish our own places - less Carry On Up the Khyber and more Carry On Camping.
What does federation mean to a service like Pixelfed? With Lemmy each instance has their own communities but I'm guessing Pixelfed is just where you upload photos to your own profile and you can follow people you like, I'm assuming across the entire Pixelfediverse?
It would still make a difference to your "Local" feed.

Would probably lead to your application getting rejected. I've just looked, and they're also known as 'sand puppies', so it'd be better go with that.
Is that really considered a "furry" then?
I mean, scalies and avians count as furry!
