Please I'm from the US and I urge people in the UK to not make the same mistake we've made in the US. We've made a grave error that could potentially cause the global economy to go into a recession, give more power to Putin and other dictators such as Orban and will cause many domestic issues. These domestic issues won't just stay inside of the US, they can have a negative impact on you too because ideas spread both good and bad. By bad ideas I'm thinking rise of racist and sexist ideology and anti-vax misinformation.
Since the election I have felt terrified everyday. This could be you.

I think Elon muskrat is an absolute bell end, but the push to drive (pun intended) motorists towards non-ICE driven vehicles is a good thing, but the profit Tesla wants to get from this should be murdered at birth; no credits for companies that do not produce vehicles in the U.K.
Any additional money generated from drivers should be ring fenced for rural public transport.
Its a complete dick move to charge people to drive, but then don't provide alternatives.
