one of the things i've learned about going from an IT plebeian into software development gold-egg-goose over the last 20ish+ years is that, the higher the pay grade you're in, the more conservative your organization becomes and incidents like the genocide will show you whether or not you're working a bad place.

both the genocide and the current wealth gap has proved to me that my current employer is too much like this charity since my colleagues sound more and more like marie antoinette every time i talk to them about the future; so i'm switching to a non-profit to help with my karmic balance and possibly avoid the guillotine in the future. lol
