Straight out of the gate with a stinker. Well done, Kemi
UK Politics
General Discussion for politics in the UK.
Please don't post to both !uk_politics@feddit.uk and !unitedkingdom@feddit.uk .
Pick the most appropriate, and put it there.
Posts should be related to UK-centric politics, and should be either a link to a reputable news source for news, or a text post on this community.
Opinion pieces are also allowed, provided they are not misleading/misrepresented/drivel, and have proper sources.
If you think "reputable news source" needs some definition, by all means start a meta thread. (These things should be publicly discussed)
Posts should be manually submitted, not by bot. Link titles should not be editorialised.
Disappointing comments will generally be left to fester in ratio, outright horrible comments will be removed.
Message the mods if you feel something really should be removed, or if a user seems to have a pattern of awful comments.
!ukpolitics@lemm.ee appears to have vanished! We can still see cached content from this link, but goodbye I guess! :'(
Badenoch is such an arrogant lightweight. Even someone as experienced at toadying as Kuenssberg must find it difficult sucking up to her.
That's how she behaves when being interviewed by a friendly interviewer. PMQs is going to be funny as hell.
She's exceeding expectations. I didn't think she would fail so quickly I thought it would take at least a week.
Day 1, babyyyyy
What the actual fuck is that title
What is your issue with it? It’s perfectly cromulent.
It's perfectly understandable. Why were you tripping up with it?
They struggled to understand "Covid bereaved" I'm guessing. Might've triggered a flood of frustration that temporarily shut down their faculties and made the entire title difficult for them.
Covid bereaved - people who lost loved ones to COVID
angered by - the previous noun is angry because of the following part of the sentence
Badenoch’s - a person, possessive
‘insulting’ - you know this one
Partygate remarks - comments she made about Boris Johnson's government's behaviour during lockdown, the scandal known informally as "partygate"
I appreciate the explanation, maybe it’s that I’m not in the UK or know the “partygate” backstory or the phrase “covid bereaved”.
