I play them back to back because they just fucking rip into me, and I need the catharsis lately.

The dude has this way of taking fairly simple, sometimes clunky, lyrics and stabbing you right in the fucking soul with them.

It's kinda funny since he's mostly thought of as a hip-hop guy, but he's done some country too, but it's his ballads that make him more than just some cookie-cutter wannabe. When he stops doing genre and just gets personal, it's fucking magic.

I know what you mean, I tend to do the same with songs that strike a chord with me at that point in time.

That first one was a solid ballad, I would not have guessed hip-hop guy at all.
