Rough Roman Memes

A place to meme about the glorious ROMAN EMPIRE (and Roman Republic, and Roman Kingdom)! Byzantines tolerated! The HRE is not.

RULES:

  1. No racism, sexism, homophobia, transphobia, bigotry, etc. The past may be bigoted, but we are not.

  2. Memes must be Rome-related, not just the title. It can be about Rome, or using Roman aesthetics, or both, but the meme itself needs to have Roman themes.

  3. Follow Lemmy.world rules.

Not sure where to start on Roman history?

Notice the crossed X of 2 towers falling, and the third tower which can be in either location, representing the uncertainty of tower 7. Tilting this 3rd tower slightly (slight damage) and touching it to the other 2 (which is the media claim of how it fell) gives you the European number 7. The Romans did 9/11 and have been planning it for millennia.

In Roman times they wrote 9 as VIIII. So if the characters are Romans it's 11.

True, these might be MEDIEVAL Roman numerals but they're still ROMAN numerals.

It's x with a bar over it. Isn't it the mean of all data points, or something like that?

whoever wrote the numeral intended for it to be one or the other, not either or, depending on where you stand. so one of the perspectives is objectively wrong, and the cartoon is bullshit

Well, technically, the cartoonist wrote it, and intended it to be both, to prove a point.
