P Willy is definitely my favourite assistant.

Sure, Alex will always be the first and defining, but Paul is incredible.

Lesser Tom is great too

Paul is great and better than alex at times. Alex overplays the 'pathetic suck up' bit a bit too much sometimes i feel, although i still think hes hilarious. That said, the actual host of the NZ one sucks, whereas alex and greg are the best combo.

Er, what?

I mean its an opinion not a fact, but i cant stand him. I think he comes off as smug and superior and a lot of his jokes don't land and just make him seem mean. Im sure some of it is him trying (and failing) to fit what he thinks the "taskmaster" role is, but i also get the vibe that he's just an asshole in real life. I feel like he'd berate a waitress for getting his order wrong and think he was being charming to the other people at the table while doing it.

It always seems like his judgements are pretty arbitrary as well. He's my least favorite host out of all the ones I've seen. However, I feel like he's improved a lot since NZ S01. He was pretty bad that season but is improving with each subsequent series.

I think Paul's fantastic. In the latest season I did think he overplayed the sort of vacant expression he always carries just a little.

I love all of them. It's hard to pick a favorite. I do have kind of a soft spot for David Sundin.
