Are we checking? This is a place to take a p*ss out of motorsports.

F1 is not the only motorsport in the world, so go ahead and post your shitposts about WEC or MotoGP or IndyCar or ralley or Polish Speedway or whatever. Even Formula E, I guess. It needs some love, too.

By the way, F2 > F1.

Rules? What rules? Stop inventing. Just don't be a douche. Lemmy.world's sporting conduct applies.

It would be more understandable if another team done this, but of course its ferrari.

Casual observer here. Can someone help me understand what happened?

edit: just scrolled by another meme about them only having three tires. Even as a casual observer that seems a bit…. unprepared.

I mean, they didn't even have three ready.

The race started and immediately was very wet, Leclerc decided to put and sent his call in for tyres seemingly once he was in the pit lane already. The team therefore didn't have tyres ready for him. He contests that in weather like that the tyres should be being prepared in case a driver needs to pit.

It seems likely that Ferrari processes will change to allow them to have more agile strategy going forwards.

Why do they always mess up Checo's pitstops and not Max's, so weird.

Well I know they did mess Max's once and he threw a fit like he does, so maybe that's why.

Usually Checo has the faster pit stops.

I saw an analysis of this. Checo tends to stop exactly to the millimetre at the right spot so the mechanics don't need to manoeuvre any more. With Max it tends to be a centi this way or that way and that makes a difference when the mechanics need to readjust hand position and such.

But if there's a blunder or a strategy error, Checo is the one to get them.

It's not a conspiracy or anything. Just weird. Same thing was with Hamilton and Bottas.

This is why I keep watching the current season. Ferrari are the masters of unpredictability. You never know how they're going to mess up because they always find new ways to mess up. And to really throw you off once in a blue moon they do a clean race, so you can't expect them to always fail. They're experts at keeping you on your toes, you literally can't know what kind of Ferrari you're going to see on any given weekend.
