MODERATORS

  1. She needs to fix that by saying and doing some things that help make her public image more moderate, ideally things that are either true (“some people belong in prison and it’s that simple”) or lacking in policy substance (“my parents moved to this country because it’s the greatest place on Earth, and I think my party and our school system need to get back to teaching kids patriotism”). But it also wouldn’t hurt to throw people a bone on a relatively unimportant policy issue (Bitcoin?) or two that demonstrate separation from Biden.

obligatory: Man, I wish the Democrats were as far left as these people say they are.

Amazing how the quoted anti-advice would turn off large part of the now enthusiastic base, for some vague platitudes for people who would likely vote for the stronger policy on these issues anyway.

(Our 'center right' (to me they are just rightwing, but most people describe them as center right) political party the VVD tried to do a similar thing (but with immigration) when Wilders/Baudet (the Dutch alt right guy) parties were being popular, and it didn't help them secure votes. And now being able compare their old tweets/policies where they are very much soft on immigration etc just shows their hypocrisy).

Reminds me of the UK labour party whose strategy seems to be centered around the message "we promise to be just like the tories"

I am not american, yet I feel like I could write up this list with what I do know (albeit I have lived in various part of north america for many years).

It has this generic, "vanilla" feel to it. Not every political article or analysis needs to have radical, eye-catching arguments, sometimes even a dry quasi-academic approach can be refreshing, but this almost feels like it was written with an LLM.
