You can view all 14 hours of the Heritage Foundation's far-right drivel on ProPublica's channel if you feel like rotting your brain.

I'll just wait for John Oliver to give me a run down on the next episode of Sad Things told by a Comedian so You Can Feel Briefly Good Before Crying Yourself to Sleep.

I never cared for him when he was on TDS, but him having his own show has been amazing. In some sense I feel like he has done now more for journalism than even Stewart has.

Agreed, I was an early doubter and he's just absolutely smashed it.

My favorite episode of Tales of Misery Bawked by Parrot Man is the salmon ladder. He has never had as much joy since shooting fish.

14hours?!?! I think I’ll wait for a brave soul to watch and give a summary. I couldn’t get past 5 minutes

I watched the first 10 minutes of this and I already feel it. I plan to finish it in chunks but, yeah.

We should just export the subtitles and have GPT summarize it. Even if it gets some s*** wrong it's still going to be enough.

Who can stomach to watch this lol, but I was curious what was meant with these code words.

https://www.propublica.org/article/inside-project-2025-secret-training-videos-trump-election

One video, titled “Hidden Meanings: The Monsters in the Attic,” is a 50-minute discussion of supposed left-wing code words and biased language that future appointees should be aware of and root out.

I wonder what those words are? Anybody has a list? Climate change obviously. EDIT: gender fluidity, equity plans, critical race theory. Abortion presumably

This sounds more and more like a cult to indoctrinate people into a higher level of MAGAness. EDIT: Or more like a police force for political correctness. Reminds me of Dolores Umbridge.

I made it through about 10 minutes, and it's exactly as hypocritical as you'd imagine.

The left wants to weaponize language by calling abortion "reproductive health care." They prefer this because it sounds a little less like "murder." /smugface

Yeah, and you want to weaponize language by calling abortion murder. Your defense of that is, "But we're right. It is murder." In much the same way that the left's defense is, "But we're right. It is health care."

They're just describing how people have always argued with words, but they want to weaponize language by referring to argument itself as "weaponizing language" (but only when the demonic commies do it) so that arguing for any viewpoint left of theirs is tantamount to violent crime. With a weapon.

These videos are to train people so that they can better sell Project 2025, making it sound very much not harmful and even helpful to create confusion and something cult members can remember and point to to counter any uncomfortable realities that challenge the cults status quo and narratives.

don’t leave a paper trail for watchdogs to discover

This whole thing sounds like someone got the cliff notes for "how to commit crime"...

[–] Diplomjodler3@lemmy.world 15 points 1 month ago (1 children)

The Trumps have always been a crime family, even before Donnie was born. Not surprising at all they would use mafia tactics.

"Is you taking notes on a criminal fucking conspiracy?!"
