An ant turns into a human. Experiencing consciousness for the first time, the ant does not nothing but scream.

Jake gets possessed by a Yeerk alien, and the Animorphs are forced to starve it out. With a dying slug in his brain, Jake finds himself in a state between alive and dead, and himself starring face-to-face with Space Satan.

I remember this very vividly.
