Its crazy because like, despite the liberalism and bigotry inherent in Harry Potter she still could have gone down in history as a beloved children's author if she just enjoyed her money in her castle and never commented on politics at all. Other than the goblins and the name "Cho Chang" most of the nasty shit in Harry Potter wasn't even noticed by anyone, let alone by large numbers of people, until her real opinions caused people to look closer.
Before she blasted her opinions all over Twitter she was known as the beloved children's author billionaire who gave so much money to charity she dropped off either the list of billionaires/Forbes list of rich people, one of those. Then she felt the need to double-down and now lifelong fans and the actors of her movies are embarrassed to talk about her. Big brain moves on her part. But I guess bigotry isn't logical.
Same deal with Graham Linehan, who was previously known for making sitcoms that were incredibly popular in Britain and Ireland

The sad thing is despite being a cop, the Italian boxer hasn't actually said anything bad about her opponent (that I've read so far). Ah that's right. I tuned in to the drama late, after the apologies and stuff already came out. But competition is intense at that level, emotions run high, so I get it. The important part is the opinions after sleeping on it imo.
