Losurdo is unsurpassed, fantastic book. Use the journal entries of Nazis to display a bunch of propaganda around Stalin is entirely false.

i have such a hunger for more of his work after this. Liberalism: a Counter-History, Class Struggle, and his Nietzsche book all look great.

I've read all three and yeah they're phenomenal. Liberalism: A Counter-History is basically like a secret weapon to entirely dissolve the whole framework of liberal thought. The quotes he pulls out are absolutely insane. If you haven't read it btw I'd really recommend Losurdo's short-ish essay on China: https://redsails.org/losurdo-on-china/ He has this great book on Hegel that I love as well.

excited to reach your level of Losurdo scholarship lol, he seems like a brilliant mind. yeah I saw the China essay before but I must give it a proper read. the stalin book is brilliant, should be read by everyone

Pike/Pine on Capitol Hill is a good starting point. There's always something happening at Cal Anderson Park too, so check that out while you're there.

The cover looks sick.

ordered this immediately! Now I have to challenge myself to finish my Lenin bio asap instead of taking 2.5 years to do it

Another cool thing was I was actually looking for a copy of state and Rev and the shop owner told me they have been selling out of everything from Lenin almost as soon as it hits the shelves since 2015 and Ferguson

Damn okay, that's awesome that the popularity has been continuous! Is this a leftist book shop?
