Ergonomic, split and other weird keyboards

Rules

Keep it ergo

Posts must be of/about keyboards that have a clear delineation between the left and right halves of the keyboard, column stagger, or both. This includes one-handed (one half doesn't exist, what clearer delineation is that!?)

i.e. no regular non-split¹ row-stagger and no non-split¹ ortholinear²

¹ split meaning a separation of the halves, whether fixed in place or entirely separate, both are fine.
² ortholinear meaning keys layed out in a grid

I have just one key that worked for a bit and then stopped yesterday. I pulled out my multimeter and tested connection from the switch, and it seems to be working fine. Is there a way to test the surface mount diode? I just ordered a new pack of them to try to replace it, but I wasn't sure if that is even really a part that can fail.

A quick duck search pointed me at https://toolsweek.com/how-to-test-a-diode-with-a-multimeter/ . It's been a long time since I needed to test diodes, but the instructions seem to match what I've done before.

Hey of course. So the diode is fine, it's just not making proper connection! Thanks!

I got the diode replaced and the connection is good, now my q key works perfectly!
