I would love Trump not gain control of the House or Senate, and then demonstrate how fucking powerful the Presidency has become to Democrats. Lets see the Parliamentarian stop him from doing everything he wants anyway lol

They’ll just pat themselves on the back with some Michelle Obama “when they go low, we go high” bullshit to feed their moral superiority complex and then not even consider doing the same thing as Trump once they get back in office

Well, yes and no. I’m sure Trump would push as much through as possible with executive orders that Biden & co. wouldn’t dare attempt as it would violate “standards and norms.” On the other hand, Dems has made so much of their branding the last eight years around “stopping the Trump agenda” that they can’t get away with their usual genuflecting to “middle ground compromise.” Plus I think enough of the donor classes see Trump as a wild card and they’d be happy to have four years of status quo gridlock.

They will

100% agree. The dems went from calling Trump literally Hitler to “get well soon xoxo” in a span of about 20 minutes. Their rhetoric is entirely devoid of meaning and they will turn on a dime on anything and everything if they feel like it.

They’ll sit back and milk the #resistance cash cow while having AOC occasionally do performative stunts

I think Trump is guaranteed to get the Senate. The best Dems can do is 50/50 unless they can pull off a miracle in Texas or Florida.
