Who is producer Adi Shankar? Well, according to Wiki:

Aditya Shankar (born January 8, 1985) is an Indian-American film producer, screenwriter, film director, television program creator, television showrunner, and occasional actor. In the 2010’s he was best known for Dredd, Castlevania and his "Bootleg Universe" One-Shot series of fan films. In the 2020s, he reinvented himself as a TV series creator and auteur with critically acclaimed Netflix series such as The Guardians of Justice, Captain Laserhawk: A Blood Dragon Remix, and the upcoming Devil May Cry. He remains the youngest producer to have a number one film at the North American box office with the 2012 film The Grey.[2]

This film is one of those from the Bootleg Universe. Thomas Jane returns to reprise his role as Frank Castle from the 2004 adaptation of The Punisher. You've also got Ron Pearlman in the mix as well!

Enjoy The Punisher: Dirty Laundry.

Bonus trivia:

There was also another Punisher fan film called The Dead Can't Be Distracted directed by Mike Pecci. Unfortunately, all we got to see, was this thirty-second teaser. Marvel got wind of the project and stopped it from being released.

You can find out more about that here.

When this came out sometime around Dredd being released I really wanted to see Adi make a punisher movie with Jane, it would have been amazing with those two working together.

Yeah, I wasn't too impressed with the sequel. Wasn’t it called Punisher: War Zone or something?

There's been a few over the years but the 2004 one was directed by Jonathan Hensleigh and that was the one with Thomas Jane and John Travolta. Then in 2008 warzone came out directed by Lexi Alexander with Ray Stevenson and it just didn't didn't feel right.

Adi does a great job telling a story and his gritty style is perfect for the punisher, I think it would have made the 2004 one tame πŸ˜‚

Adi Shankar is an interesting guy, just seems to go out and make the movies he wants to see.

Agreed. I saw an interview with him where he explained that he appreciated Dredd Day (many years ago) where fans got the film to the number 1 spot on Amazon's chart in order to promote interest in a sequel.

But as he further explained, all of the investors lost money on the original film, so getting anyone to invest in a sequel was an impossibility.
