I really don't get why anxiety flairs up at night. Should be the calmest moments of the day.
Lack of external stimulus means we can't ignore it. Going to sleep reduces our mental will to actively push it away.
That's why I sleep with a show on. Keeps me distracted enough to not care about anything else.
