I've had a couple of instances of my browser attempting to post a reply for several minutes without any sign of the post being made. Attempting to refresh the page or to otherwise leave informs me my post will be lost, so I'm stumped. Am I bumping into a comments per hour limit or a comments per thread limit or is the server just busy?

This is the number of users being added to lemmy currently

I would say unfortunately in this situation you're just going to have to accept some performance issues.

I often fix this by copy/pasting my post after refreshing.

Note this chart is partly wrong because of the current spam bot crisis

I have some additional observations - I'm trying to reply to replies in this thread and it just hangs indefinitely whereas I was able to respond directly to a newer post (and here) with only a few seconds of latency.

So this is a specific bug (at least in my case) and not expected latency. I'll see if I can't capture a har for y'all.

No request actually gets sent for the reply so that's fun. Did get a couple of 304s back but figured they were inconsequential, but can send a file anyway. Do y'all have a support email?
