Hello!

I noticed that a post I created from my sopuli account to a lemm.ee community, federated over here, but then not out any other instances.

Is lemm.ee dealing with similar federation woes as lemmy.world?

We had a temporary delay with outgoing federation. Everything should be recovered and back to normal now!

Yes, they indeed blocked us a while ago, AFAIK it was planned as a temporary thing, but no idea where they stand on it now.

They are using an allowlist rather than a blocklist, unlike most big instances. We are linked, but we're not on their allowlist, so the result is still that they block all federation from lemm.ee.

Interesting way to do federation. I get why they’d want to do that due to their inquire take on things but seems to be against the spirit.

If you look the delay is growing. We started at 7 hours behind and now we are at 14 hours behind.

@sunaurus@lemm.ee It would be nice if it showed if the wait was trending up or down. Right now the wait is going up, it would give people an idea if the issue is getting worse or getting better.
