I bet cash money that husband has a secret Grindr account.

[–] Aesthesiaphilia@kbin.social 57 points 1 year ago (1 children)

Safest bet in the world, husband is gayer than a unicorn fart

[–] charliespider@lemmy.ca 50 points 1 year ago (7 children)

Claiming that someone's homophobia is because they are secretly gay is ultimately blaming the gays for said homophobia.

It's also entirely possible that someone is just a hateful piece of shit.

[–] Lemmylefty@lemmy.world 19 points 1 year ago

Women can be sexist and nonwhite people can be racist: being a member of a marginalized group unfortunately doesn’t inherently keep someone from perpetuating the discrimination against said group. It’s absolutely true that a lot of, and definitely the majority, of homophobic people are straight, but a lot of the terror-based homophobia stems from projection.

Gold medal in mental acrobatics, damn

[–] DulyNoted@lemmy.world 16 points 1 year ago

Unfortunately, being gay isn't a panacea, and one can be both gay and a huge piece of shit.

[–] WarmSoda@lemm.ee 9 points 1 year ago (1 children)

I get what you're saying.
But usually it's really they are a hateful piece of shit because they are secretly gay. The loudest ones tend to be the most secretly what they are yelling about.

[–] WhyIsItReal@lemmy.world 17 points 1 year ago (5 children)

i just don’t believe that that’s actually true, though. most homophobes are just pieces of shit, not secretly gay

Yeah, he may be just a POS, but he seems to think so hard in what looks gay or not... looks like he's hiding.

[–] CombatWombat1212@lemmy.world 5 points 1 year ago

?? It's blaming a gay person for being homophobic, by what logic does it apply to all of them?

[–] Lxrduy@lemmy.blahaj.zone 91 points 1 year ago (1 children)

"He generally prefers me to my husband" Whoo boy, I wonder why

[–] Badtouchspez@lemm.ee 29 points 1 year ago (1 children)

She provides baby food. Why wouldn’t the baby prefer her more. Heck I’ll hang out with someone more if they gave me food.

[–] jscummy@sh.itjust.works 6 points 1 year ago

More importantly it sounds like she doesn't judge and criticize everything the son does, at one year old

[–] KeyserSoze@lemmy.blahaj.zone 50 points 1 year ago (2 children)

I am straight, and I have to ask: Are we okay?

[–] ShittyKopper@lemmy.blahaj.zone 16 points 1 year ago (1 children)

i certainly am not okay

(though i don't think it's because i'm straight)

[–] samus12345@sh.itjust.works 5 points 1 year ago

Clearly we are not.

[–] pooh@hexbear.net 47 points 1 year ago (3 children)

kombucha-disgust

I really hope this is fake.

[–] YaaAsantewaa@hexbear.net 14 points 1 year ago

Is it from reddit? Because there's a 99.99998% chance it's fake if it is

[–] 6daemonbag@lemmy.dbzer0.com 9 points 1 year ago

The husbands of some of my acquaintances are exactly like this. While I'm generally repulsed by the term Low Value Male, these are the types of men that I think fit the bill. Manly homophobes crippled by their ingrained toxic masculinity

[–] HornyOnMain@hexbear.net 5 points 1 year ago* (last edited 1 year ago)

Reading the post like: internet-delenda-est

Even if this isn't real there 100% are loads of people who actually think like this

[–] damnfinecoffee@lemmy.world 41 points 1 year ago

Man some people really should not have kids

[–] QuantumField@lemmy.ml 36 points 1 year ago (1 children)

Kid put a banana in his mouth. Yeah kids put everything in their mouths! Be glad it's food and not random carpet lint.

[–] WarmSoda@lemm.ee 13 points 1 year ago (1 children)

Exactly. And everyone knows if a kid puts carpet in his mouth he's a god damn lesbe-ann.

[–] Bizarroland@kbin.social 5 points 1 year ago

That must be where I went wrong. I put carpet in my mouth and a banana in my ass

[–] Korne127@lemmy.world 33 points 1 year ago (1 children)

No brewskis

[–] Nachorella@lemmy.sdf.org 27 points 1 year ago (1 children)
[–] DulyNoted@lemmy.world 5 points 1 year ago

I just feel bad that she had to have a kid with the guy to find this out

Ah yes, my childhood. Too bad they failed to genderize me

[–] JoMiran@lemmy.ml 17 points 1 year ago

I genuinely feel sad for people that love in such fear and anger. It sounds exhausting.

[–] Blastasaurus@lemm.ee 16 points 1 year ago

I'm gonna go with fake.

[–] eatmyass@hexbear.net 15 points 1 year ago

I’d say this is fake but I also know people who would think like this

[–] SexUnderSocialism@hexbear.net 13 points 1 year ago

what-the-hell Totally normal and stable heterosexual man.

[–] poopoobanana@hexbear.net 13 points 1 year ago (1 children)

If he likes the mom more than the dad, isn't it a sign he's not gay?

[–] Dirk_Darkly@sh.itjust.works 9 points 1 year ago

Only a gay baby would feel actual love towards a parent, especially if it's their mom.

[–] aaaaaaadjsf@hexbear.net 12 points 1 year ago* (last edited 1 year ago) (1 children)

This has to be fake, the part about the books just gives it away, with the kid being one year old.

[–] buckykat@lemmy.blahaj.zone 14 points 1 year ago

Parents should be reading books to kids from day 1

[–] SpunkyBarnes@geddit.social 9 points 1 year ago

Wife should return that one to sender.

[–] boo_@lemmy.blahaj.zone 2 points 1 year ago
