Might not be super obscure but as a lifelong LoTR fan and new Trek fan this was my first watch!

As much as I love this wonderful terrible song, it is in no way obscure anymore. People have been posting it online pretty frequently for like 10-15 years now lol

It even has it's own Wikipedia entry! It came out in 1967!

I mean, even though it's not unknown or forgotten, everything from 1967 can be called obscure for it's 63 yo and the majority of fans haven't even been born when it aired and see that through a modern cultural lense. As non-native, I don't know if 'obscure' stretches that far in it's meaning, but people born in 40s watched it in a completely different way than we do.

Released as a single in1967. And in 1968 on the album Two Sides of Leonard Nimoy.

as a trekker, i'm sorry to say that Dr. Demento was my introduction to the golden tones of Bill Shatner and Leo Nimoy. an absolute classic!
