That happened in small cities and some hot states. They'd never dare to attack directly a Presidential Candidate.
Why? Are they afraid UN peace keeping forces would be deployed or that the US would step in?
The last time Mexican Cartels pissed the USA off, the largest cartel in Mexican History got shafted. So yeah, they are pretty afraid of direct US involvement.
And by shafted, they mean the opposite cartel got armed by the "Fast and Furious" operation
I mean, you win some, you lose some. Nwver said they were effective.
Which one? When? Curiously asking.
Maybe they were talking about the Gulf Cartel?
