Do items have maximum durability that goes lower and lower the more it gets damaged like vehicle parts? Or can I repair a piece of clothing forever with no drawbacks?

Isn't there a rare artifact that recharges by closing portals? Granted getting that specific artifact is rare though as they are difficult to find and are so random with mostly negative, from my experience, effects.

And yeah, spilled liquids is pain especially in labs and when your glass containers get shattered
