The dead ones are probably the lucky ones in this situation.
If they believe parental neglect of children should be permitted, then there would be orders of magnitude more children who end up malnourished, developmentally stunted, and abused, but not to the point of dying ๐
You'd see twice as many instances of chained up 17 year olds who have seen the sun twice and eaten nothing besides dry store brand corn flakes their entire life. Or sold to their local libertarian warlord or meth dealer.
Even the ones that manage to become an independent adult will have severe traumas and extreme difficulties integrating into society. How big is the problem where the state takes a child away that shouldn't have been? Just another right wing weirdo who sees children as property of their parents.
